How this data is produced

tq2db is a database, not a wiki. Every number on it is read out of Titan Quest II’s own data tables and re-read when the game patches, which is why skill pages here carry every rank rather than the first one.

The pipeline

  1. The game’s depot is downloaded from Steam.
  2. A headless CUE4Parse worker dumps every data table to raw JSON — no interpretation, no reshaping.
  3. A separate ingestion step normalises that JSON into the database, and refuses the run outright if the dump comes back degraded.
  4. Each entity is hashed and compared with the previous build. The differences become the patch pages.

What we will not do

Frequently asked

Where does the data come from?
Titan Quest II's own data tables, read directly out of the game's Unreal archives (Steam app 1154030) with CUE4Parse. Nothing is transcribed from a wiki or a tooltip.
What happens when the game updates?
A watcher polls the Steam build id. When it moves, the extraction re-runs and every table is diffed field by field against the previous build. Those diffs become the patch pages, which is how silent balance changes surface.
Why do some values show a dash?
Because the game files do not specify that value. A dash is not zero and it is not an oversight — it is the honest answer. Filling those gaps with plausible numbers is the one thing this site will not do.
Do you host the game’s artwork?
No. No texture, icon or model from the game is rehosted or hotlinked. Every icon on the site is our own.
